2009 Awards for achievement in the field of XAFS. Call for nominationsRead the call (PDF)The Awards Committee of the International X-ray Absorption Society (IXAS) solicits nomination for two awards (three awardees). These awards are made every three years at the International XAFS Conference. Nominations are solicited for awards to be made at the 14th International XAFS Conference (XAFS-14) in Camerino Italy, July 26-31, 2009. All nominations must be received by March 15, 2009.
Nominations for the awards should be sent to Outstanding Young Scientist AwardNominee must have made contribution to the XAFS field. Nominations are invited across all disciplinary areas,
including both experimental and theoretical studies of XAFS. Nominee should be within 8 years of a Ph.D.
(or equivalent) degree as of February 28, 2009. Nominations should include a curriculum vitae for the nominee. Outstanding Achievement AwardThis is the highest award of the International XAFS Society. The awards committee invites nominations across all
disciplinary areas, including both experimental and theoretical studies of XAFS (IXAS Edward Stern Outstanding
