GNXAS related software

Most of the graphical output generated by the GNXAS software package can be visualized with the graphical program Topdrawer which has been available for Linux, Mac and other operating systems. Topdrawer produces high-quality publication-ready graphics. Unfortunately, the Topdrawer graphic software is not longer supported so users may experience problems in installing and using this graphical interface. We have already introduced specific outputs for other graphic tools like gnuplot, and output files are usually compatible with most available 2D software on different platforms. However, for user convenience, we are maintaining and we have produced (M. Minicucci, K. Hatada) several versions of Topdrawer that should be able to run on several operative systems and are currently included in the GNXAS package distribution (check executable file name td_). Versions for Linux and Mac (Apple Inc.) of the Topdrawer software as well as related documentation and sources are freely down-loadable here (including an old ftp database - Riken Japan):

The fitheo program performs a least square minimization of the residual between the experimental and a model theoretical signal. This is accomplished using the MINUIT subroutine of the CERN library: for more information on the MINUIT format and commands please refer to the corresponding CERN library documentation available at the URL:

In the spirit of increasing compatibility among EXAFS data analysis software, Bruce Ravel has introduced the possibility to generate an output of his program "ATOMS 3.0" which can be used as an input for the program crymol of the GNXAS software package. We are not aware whether the new versions still produce an output for crymol but modifications may be done by users on the Feff output. More information can be found at the URL:
